The village Sirince is about 7 km away from Selcuk. You drive past plantings and small restaurants up the mountain. You can book journeys to the village from all tourist centers. If you want to look at it on your own you can also take the Dolmus (some kind of taxi for many people, like a van).
The foundation of the village can be retraced until the 5th century AD. The old name of the village was Kirkinca - Cirkince. I have often visited Sirince because I like the calmness and well-preserved village life. And nevertheless I "live" next to it. I often visited it in the past only for breakfast! Directly at the entrance of the village there is an ancient Greek villa which was rebuilt into a restaurant. Until last year I enjoyed a big breakfast with a great view. But only until last year! It was the last time. Of course it was never low priced but last year it was over-priced! Very bad...
If you are near to Sirince it is really worthwhile to visit.
