 A very old and famous kind of tranquility and coziness of the Oriental world is smoking water pipe. Called "Nargile" in Turkey you can get them in "Kahves" but also in hotels. You can also call it "Sise" (bottle) in Turkey. Normally it consists of three parts:
1 - A water bowl, often made of brass, porcelain or glass. This bowl with one screw foot is filled with water up to three quarters.
2 - A top piece (Lüle), on which the pipe bowl and on this the tobacco bowl (Bas) are placed. There is often fixed some kind of table. This is only used to put down the pincer.
3 - A smoke hose, which is inserted into the hollow space above the water and on which other end is the die.
 You have to put a piece of char blaze onto the tobacco bowl and heat it with it. The smoke is being led directly into the water. If you pull on the hose there will be low pressure in the bottle so that the smoke is being pulled through the water accompanied by a bubbling sound. This procedure makes the smoke cooler and filtered. You can get tobacco with apple, peach, mint or other tastes. You can also fill the water pipe with rose water. This year I tried "Nargile" for the first time and I really felt sick after a few minutes! I stopped in time.
